FAQ

Do I need Unreal Engine to use Vizibeat?
Yes. Vizibeat is a plugin for Unreal Engine 5.5+ and runs inside your existing UE project. Unreal Engine itself is free from Epic Games for most uses; if you’ve never used it before, the Vizibeat documentation walks you through setting it up from scratch.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan later?
Yes — you can change plans any time from your Account Portal. Upgrading or adding seats takes effect right away: we charge a prorated amount for the rest of your current billing period, then the new price kicks in at your next renewal. Downgrading or removing seats waits until your current billing period ends, so you keep what you’ve already paid for. There’s no mid-cycle refund, but you can cancel a scheduled downgrade any time before it takes effect. Your projects stay intact when you switch plans, though features exclusive to a higher tier will stop working once a downgrade kicks in.
What happens to what I’ve already paid if I switch plans mid‑cycle?
Nothing is lost. If the new plan costs more, we apply the unused portion of what you’ve already paid toward it and only charge you the difference. If the new plan costs less — for example, switching from annual to monthly, or from Studio to Pro — any leftover value stays with your account as credit and is automatically applied to your next Vizibeat bills until it runs out. We don’t refund the difference to your card, but you won’t pay for anything twice. You’ll see the exact numbers in the Change Plan preview before you confirm.
What if my revenue grows past the Pro cap mid‑subscription?
Great problem to have. Pro is licensed for independent creators under the revenue threshold; once you cross it, you’ll need to move to Studio for continued commercial use. Your existing projects keep working. Just upgrade the plan when you’re ready. We don’t claw back work you’ve already shipped.
Can I add or remove Studio seats as my team changes?
Yes. Studio seats are flexible: add more when you hire, revoke them when someone leaves. Billing adjusts automatically. Seats are managed from your Account Portal, so there’s no ticket queue or delay when you need to bring someone onto a project.
Is there a refund policy?
Yes — every paid plan comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If Vizibeat isn’t working for you, email support@empa3d.com within 30 days of your first charge and we’ll refund you in full.
What counts as commercial use under the Creator license?
Creator is licensed for non-commercial use only: learning, practice, portfolio work, and personal projects. Commercial use means anything you’re paid for or that directly drives revenue: paid client work, monetised streams or videos, and ticketed performances. As soon as you start earning from Vizibeat output, upgrade to Pro or Studio to get the commercial-use license.
Do you offer custom licensing or enterprise terms?
Yes. If you need more than 10 seats, custom licensing terms, or want to discuss bespoke Vizibeat Studio Support, email licensing@empa3d.com and we’ll get back to you.
