Vizibeat

Vizibeat turns music into full-scene animation inside Unreal Engine: live or pre-rendered, with no hand-keyframing required.

About

Building music-reactive visuals in Unreal has traditionally meant animating every beat by hand or wrangling custom Blueprints: a creative problem turned into a technical one. Vizibeat replaces both with a music-native workflow built entirely inside Unreal Engine: a node-based Motion Graph routes any note, MIDI hit, or frequency band straight into the scene, while a Note Sequencer lets artists place accents in bars and beats instead of frames. Every setup is procedural, so one project can headline a live show, drive an LED volume, and come back ready for the next track instead of being rebuilt from scratch.

Who it's for

Vizibeat is made for 3D artists, touring VJs, live-event designers, and virtual production teams: anyone building music-reactive visuals who's tired of hand-keyframing every beat drop.

Key capabilities

  • Node-based Motion Graph routes any note, MIDI hit, or frequency band into the scene, with motion reshaped in seconds instead of rebuilt like an animation curve
  • Note Sequencer for composing in bars, beats, and tempo, not contextless keyframes
  • Reacts live to audio, MIDI, DMX, OSC, and motion tracking
  • Automatic tempo detection, note-onset estimation, and one-click stem separation
  • 200+ animatable parameters, from lights and materials to cameras, particles, and characters
  • One procedural setup drives live performance, pre-rendered video, and LED-volume virtual production alike
  • Licensed per seat, not per performance: no playback fee per show

Already in use

Vizibeat is already driving visuals seen on major stages, for artists including Kygo, Backstreet Boys, Kehlani, Excision, Subtronics, Foster the People, Wooli, Mötley Crüe, Koe Wetzel, Kill the Noise, and Trivecta, and at venues from Coachella to Red Rocks to Broadway.

What artists are saying

“Vizibeat immediately helped speed up my workflow. Before, it took me five days to manually keyframe every light to a song's beat. With Vizibeat, it's hours. Controlling a scene with Vizibeat feels like playing along with the band or DJ.”

John Paiz, VJ & 3D Artist for Wooli

“Vizibeat cut so much time from keyframing in the sequencer. It's such a godsend.”

Ray Elemento, Creative Visual Director for Subtronics

“Most visual artists see a node graph and immediately hear an alarm bell: this looks complicated. But Vizibeat’s Motion Graph nodes are so user-friendly it’s insane. You go from being buried in manually keyframing beats to instantly having patterns synced to the song.”

Ricky Runfola, Concert Visual Designer & Creative Director (Lady Gaga, SZA, 50 Cent)

“Vizibeat is an indispensable tool that’s made creating visuals so much more enjoyable.”

Alex Hooker, 3D artist (John Summit, Tiesto, Post Malone)

“A node-based system to map amplitude to light intensity has been the #1 thing I've wanted, and Vizibeat makes it incredibly easy. The moment I plugged in an audio file and it immediately synced in the sequencer, my jaw dropped. This is everything I've always wanted.”

Connor Campbell, Digital Artist & Art Director (Travis Scott, Marshmello, Subtronics)

About the developer

Andrea Carver is a 3D technical artist who has spent a decade building reactive, real-time visuals in Unreal Engine, the kind of work Vizibeat is built to accelerate. Across games, live performance, and VR, their procedural systems and custom tools have appeared on Broadway, the Met, the Hollywood Bowl, and in award-winning VR films. Vizibeat is their tool, built solo.

Why Andrea built it

“I want to craft explosive 3D visuals for music, with real complexity and scale. I tried keyframing every hit by hand first, and it was too slow to keep up with what I had in mind. Wiring up custom Blueprints wasn’t much better: I was stuck debugging when I needed to be directing. I knew I wasn’t the only one frustrated, so I built Unreal the music-native workflow it was missing. Now Vizibeat carries the mechanics, and I stay focused on the art.”
